wow...

a lot has happened over the last couple of weeks and my mom has been really bugging me to post.

at the beginning of the year eddie was accepted to two medical schools. it was a very difficult decision for him... but finally around january he decided: wright state. anyone who knows me, knows that i LOVE to procrastinate and so i didn't get my resumes out for a good couple of months. on april 1st, i went to a job fair in dayton and got my foot in the door with a couple of districts... at that time i was most excited about centerville city schools. i guess the got around 1400 resumes this year and i was lucky enough to be one of 120 candidates for first round interviews.

in the very last one hour line that i was waiting in, a couple of ladies from the district over stopped me to comment on my hair. although a VERY superficial thing, it is very short and my husband doesn't really like it... so it made me feel good. however, they weren't looking to hire someone with my qualifications so i quickly dismissed it.

centerville's interview went very well and i heard back for a second round interview. however, at the same time the district (northmont) that the ladies had noticed me, called for an interview. i absolutely fell in love with the area and the school. except for my mom's montessori school, i have never entered a school that i felt was so warm and welcoming and what i wanted in a school. i immediately became very nervous while i sat and heard the team of teachers laughing with the candidate in the interview before me. Hers in fact went fifteen minutes over and mine only last 20 minutes altogether. needless to say... i didn't think i got that job.

however, two days later they called me and let me know that i was their number one candidate and could i come back to get some "paperwork" done. i agreed. when offered that job, i was one of 4 candidates for two positions with centerville. i was pretty proud of getting so far... but really felt like northmont was more my style... so i will be teaching fourth grade next year.

eddie has also been accepted into the health profession scholarship with the airforce. an honor.

we just went into contract for our house and have to move june 12th.

the only thing left on our plate is to find a new home... but until then we are homeless.

i can't complain though because things have really worked out:)
