i'm procrastinating my intermins right now. they are due tomorrow... but i really don't want to take the time to complete them!
eddie and i have started drinking hot cocoa by the gallon... j/k mom, i am exagerating a little:) we also got to eat dinner by the light of christmas decorations - i can't express how much i love this time of year!

eddie is trying to get tickets to harlingen to visit his grandma. she had to be brought back the other night. i don't know the details, but we really hope to get eddie down there to visit before anything serious happens.

i'm excited for this weekend. it is my first mary kay open house and i think it will be a lot of fun.
we shall see.

well i seriously better get my grades done.

i'm going to try to get a blog out before eddie comes to write a paper.

this has been a great weekend. besides the festive thanksgiving "stuff," eddie and i have had a really great time just enjoying each other's company. when we got home from mt. sterling... we cleaned house and got ready to decorate for christmas! and yes, i did get to say "eddie will you get the christmas decorations from the attic?" :) we also got our christmas tree. we have hundreds of icicicle lights from our wedding and instead of splurging for christmas tree lights, we again tried to put them "in" our tree. i have to say that it does have character if nothing else... including beauty. after we got done, eddie made an executive decision that we would get "real" lights next year:)

anyways... the house is beautiful. i'm really thankful that we can do that kind of thing! we drank hot chocolate and watched a movie when it was all over.

i know it doesn't seem like much... but we are family (finally) and it was wonderful.

everywhere i turn

it seems that there is a lot of sadness around me. many people working very hard at their job... in such a discouraging world.

i had a great weekend... although away from my husband, which is always difficult. he has just a couple of weeks left in school... and they are going to be very busy. marty and mocha had a great time in my parents back yard this weekend. normally, dog and i take walks, go and play in the field out back, etc. she doesn't normally have free, unmonitored reign. but i now know what she enjoys doing without supervision! dig holes and gather sticks (more like logs!) my dad wrote me this morning and said "his yard would never be the same." he may just be right!

i have the greatest sister. eddie and i are trying to put money in other places while he is in school, so we got rid of the second car. the only time this has been difficult is when we have conflicting weekend plans. my sister and dad are so kind that they came all the way here to pick me up! the way to bg consisted of dad, a, me, mocha and marty. that was a car full. until we had to come back down... i went to sam's and spent a car full:) mocha had to curl up in a's lap(half way on and half way off) for the car ride back...oops.

anyways, i had a great weekend.

again

my huby and i just got back from a great time with our new church family. it is weird to call them our church family because we only started attending last week. an old friend shared from his heart tonight and it was really good. i really feel the spirit there... which is very nice, considering i haven't felt the spirit in a long time. i have been complacent... and i don't like it.

well, huby and puppy are home from running an errand... so i'll be off.

maybe i'll get deeper next time.

what am i doing....

i'm sitting here at my computer... really putting my thoughts on out there... for millions of people to see!
